The support of bounded saddles.

چکیده
This article reviews the literature on planning the support of bounded saddles of removable partial dentures or fixed bridges. Three-dimensional photoelastic analysis was used to examine stresses on removable partial dentures of different designs, and possible model structure changes raised for further investigation.

On Polar Cones and Differentiability in Reflexive Banach Spaces
Let $X$ be a Banach space, $Csubset X$ be a closed convex set included in a well-based cone $K$, and also let $sigma_C$ be the support function which is defined on $C$. In this note, we first study the existence of a bounded base for the cone $K$, then using the obtained results, we find some geometric conditions for the set $C$, so that ${mathop{rm int}}(mathrm{dom} sigma_C) neqem...
متن کاملUniqueness of solutions for the extendedFisher -
We consider stationary solutions of the Extended Fisher-Kolmogorov (EFK) equation , a fourth-order model equation for bi-stable systems. We show that as long as the stable equilibrium points are real saddles, the paths in the (u; u 0)-plane of two bounded solutions do not cross. As a consequence we derive that the bounded solutions of the EFK equation correspond exactly to those of the classica...
متن کاملBishop-Phelps type Theorem for Normed Cones
In this paper the notion of support points of convex sets in normed cones is introduced and it is shown that in a continuous normed cone, under the appropriate conditions, the set of support points of a bounded Scott-closed convex set is nonempty. We also present a Bishop-Phelps type Theorem for normed cones.
متن کاملProvable and practical approximations for the degree distribution using sublinear graph samples
e degree distribution is one of the most fundamental properties used in the analysis of massive graphs. ere is a large literature on graph sampling, where the goal is to estimate properties (especially the degree distribution) of a large graph through a small, random sample. e degree distribution estimation poses a signicant challenge, due to its heavy-tailed nature and the large variance i...
متن کاملStagger-and-step method: detecting and computing chaotic saddles in higher dimensions.
Chaotic transients occur in many experiments including those in fluids, in simulations of the plane Couette flow, and in coupled map lattices. These transients are caused by the presence of chaotic saddles, and they are a common phenomenon in higher dimensional dynamical systems. For many physical systems, chaotic saddles have a big impact on laboratory measurements, but there has been no way t...
